    Diversity Leadership Academy of Atlanta

This program is for Leaders committed to community; leaders who recognize the value and power of diversity; for leaders who simply want to better equip themselves to lead their organizations to the top tier of their industry in terms of performance and the achievement of their missions.

The Diversity Leadership Academy of Atlanta (DLAA) is the flagship program and was launched in 2001. The program meets the needs of leaders from various community sectors through leadership development experiences. Funded through a grant of $1.5 million from The Coca-Cola Company, AIMD started the first DLA class in 2001.Since then there had been eight DLAA classes offered for the Atlanta Community. DLAA offers an opportunity to build leadership skills to arm leaders with tools necessary to manage, encourage, and lead diversity efforts in their organizations. These tools are proven to be helpful to make quality decsions about diversity thus equipping leaders with tools that directly affect the organizations' bottom line. DLAA is open to leaders from all sectors within the community, including government, education, religion, business, and nonproft.

“This exceptional experience has been fueled not only by a solid curriculum and deep thinking, but also a diverse group of people which cuts across professional lines. It was of very high value to have a mix of corporate, government, nonprofit and religious leaders. The quality of the experience was very high, and it supported the challenging learning.”
